As someone who focuses on investing in Australian oil & mining companies with operations in Africa and the Middle East I'm curious to know what the company assessed the sovereign risk to be in doing business in the DRC?, and how much shareholders thought about sovereign risk and corruption before investing in AVZ? As you have all found out sovereign risk is a real issue in many countries in Africa - both northern Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, and to an extent in the Middle East as well - unfortunately its not really getting any better either. Hopefully you can all get out of this mess with a win, but it is going to take time.
