Things are going to hell in a hand basket in the Congo in December.

1. The El Presidente Dictator Kibila has been in charge for 17 Years and constitutionally was meant to retire in 2016 after 2 elected terms... delayed elections now for 2 Years which are now due 23rd Dec 2018... protests on the streets being violently put down

2. The local warlord Bemba who was up on war crimes charges at the Hague has now been released and has returned to the Congo and has registered as a Presidential candidate.

3. The guy the people of the Congo actually support(based on polls) is a the opposition leader called Katumbi who is currently in exile in Belgium as the current dictator in charge wants to arrest him on some trumped up charges. He's trying to get back into the Congo before the election but is being blocked from returning. He may return yet, but will be arrested.
