Re: First Quantum mine closure in Panama - can't find it now/no time, but read somewhere that the forced mine closure will mean that Panama (govt) will have to pay FQ $5-6B in return.
Also, another reason why FQ would want to go hard in Tier 1 countries/jurisdictions - and jurisdictions don't get any better than Western Australia, anywhere in the world. So hopefully they find what they're looking for at the Mangaroon JV, and use that Panama cash to build a mine at Mangaroon.
