Just one such example - so I wouldn't rule it out. The power of the masses and social media is more influential than you can expect. Reason of GME/AMC and its run up from public and mom and dad investors.
As I mentioned previous, not saying it is happening here - although I wouldn't dismiss the power of HC (Read: social media) and smaller investors.
