The problem with Australia.
The 1500 steel towers needed for the intconector between SA and the eastern states are being manufactured in China from chineese steel. The Whyalla steel works is laying off hundreds of employees due to economic downturn. If we cant produce our own steel and manufacture our on towers then how the hell are we going to value add to our critical mineral resources. Leadership in this country is sadly lacking and the globalisation strategey has been a significant failure leading to extremely poor productivity and forward thinking in this once great country.
