Here's what's due in September/over the next couple of weeks (excluding any left-field announcements):
Not just some, but even if every single announcement was always released late, I would still prefer the DRE way (by far) over other companies' ways:
- DRE lay out what's due/coming up and what we can look forward to/will get
- even if some of the news is late, you know what they're working on and what's coming up (unlike some of my other holdings)
- DRE has had quite a few instances of releasing 2-4 announcements over 3-4 days or so (ie. we could get one of those again, depending on various factors)
Re; deals, and being in "advanced/other discussions" for a deal:
- means it could happen in a few weeks
- in a few months
- or not at all
- especially as they would be trying to JV/offload their "non-core"/not so hot right now assets (Nickel, Uranium in WA, Lithium, etc) - meaning that the other party/Major would be in no rush to finalise a deal (like they would in a super hot market when Lithium or REEs were going off)
- deals will come, when; no one knows as it's not up to DRE but the other party to sign off/part with their hard-earned and give it to DRE, but the main focus is the current drilling, while deals occur in the background (although I wouldn't mind a (nice) deal right about now)
- examples: we got a good/early deal with First Quantum (until Panama took away their cash-cow mine), and we saw it with the Iron Ore at Illaara where a deal didn't end up being agreed on)
As Dean mentioned in the recent presso; their focus going forward will be Gold, Gold*, and Niobium - the Gold* meaning Gold with other metals (ie. Tiger).
So, looks like they will/are going hard at Mangaroon drilling (Niobium and some Tiger), and the gold on their way to becoming a self-funding explorer, and the rest of the projects will get deals/JV's for them, while DRE concentrates on everything at Mangaroon?
Kimberley results we already know won't be anything spectacular, and apart from that, the rest of the current news that's due is all from Mangaroon, and should remain mostly/all from Mangaroon (apart/until they get a JV/deal for their other projects/prospects)?
So, we'll be looking forward to drilling/results (on the way to self-funding) at Mangaroon, and deals from the other projects (whenever they strike a deal that's good enough for shareholders).
Cheers,
GB.
ps. easy to get frustrated in this market as it's been crap for so long, but it does feel like it has bottomed for a few weeks now (or is that just me?) - and all juniors are in the same boat for now, where only big news moves the dial (and for me/from my holdings, DRE Team is the most likely to make a big discovery or two, and move the dial)
