For those thinking EV's are a non starter.... I would not be betting on Ford or GM getting it right.... possible dinosaur syndrome.
It would not be the first or last time a major Co. got it wrong.
US manufacturing is in decline and those who think China cannot determine the EV market outcome.... ie conventional ICE v EV's might be surprised.

This car has 830km's range.... nearly enough from Sydney to Melbourne.

90,000 PRE orders.... free will.... not dictated from CCP.
Chinese consumers are savvy.... they also invest heavily in gold.... hence part reason for record POG.

Dean say's there is interest in our REE's.... and China is saying EV's are here to stay.
I would not bet against China if I was Ford or GM.... conventional ICE dinosaur v EV innovation.
Change is the only guarantee in life.... even if you are one of the worlds largest car manufacturers.

As 'they' say.... don't mention.... 'the war'.... or wars.
Trouble abounds and oil could reach crazy prices.... just like gold will.
If the Middle East turns real ugly.... some say oil could hit $200 plus.
That will put EV's front and center of vehicle energy.

Mining is cyclical and DRE's rare earths will at some time be needed.
We have the resource.... just need sentiment to change.
