My excitement is around Hope, whilst the impact on the person taking it could be profound there is also the positive flow on for their immediate family.
Adrian Ford from Australia Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has said that they have revised their autism prevalence rates from 1 in 100 to an estimated 1 in 70 people in Australia on the autism spectrum. That is an estimated 40% increase or around 353,880 people.
In the US in 2020, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in 54 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), according to 2016 data. Boys are four times more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls.
