But it seems to me that it is dreaming to hope that a much larger offer will be made for the remaining 25%. Simply because neither of the 2 companies is currently really viable and gold would have to be at 3,000-3,500 for them to become so !

The financial income does not cover the operating costs, I do not see the 2 companies surviving without dilution of the share capital and therefore further declines in the price.

There remains the possibility of a takeover by a major company. But, here too, we must not dream, everyone will wait as long as possible to pay as little as possible a company that will be on the brink of collapse, business is business !
