I think that your conservatism is healthy. The two questions are : 1. If Easton cannot raise the funds will anyone else pay $6M for the properties? 2. If the above occurrs then can GDN contribute enough funds to the JV with Newcrest to maintain their contribtution rate.
The abovementioned properties could be overvalued IMHO and GDN does not hold much cash (read the last financial report). I think that they are in a bind and Easton hold the key. As for the reason for the non disclosure of the drilling, if it is good then why not release it to bump the share price, if bad then how can it affect the value of the properties?
