No, there never has been. There have been some that have incurred substantial capex to get the water but none have failed.
Panda, it’s not lost on me the sheer volume of water required. It’s enormous. But I don’t believe the directors haven’t thought of this already and have plans in place. I understand the cost of RO/solar desal etc in light of the volumes required but none are show stoppers. Having to resort to alternative supplies might seriously dent the value of the project but the show will go on.
