Good point Agentm...China will soon be a net importer of HCC very soon!
I highly doubt the ability of Bowen Basin, Mozambique and Taven Tolgi to cover the shortfall in the near or longer term for the following reasons.
* Mozambique appears to have severe supply chain constraints that won't be resolved any time soon. Current coal chain both Vale and Rio Tinto caped at 5Mtpa (combined)until a greenfields solution is finalised...2019 at the earliest.
*Most Bowen Basin mines are locked into long term contracts with Korean and Japanese steelmakers.
* Mongolia (Taven Tolgi) appears to be a heaviliy intruded and faulted deposit that is far from reliable supply chain.
Appears like a great deposit - Drilling pending :)
