I would not be to concerned, it is just that the majority of people who wanted to buy most probably had by the time the drilling was commenced. There were lots of people on this site who new that the Newmont deal was pre-arranged, given some of the posts.
Gold falling has taken the follow up buyers out of the equation for the moment.
I don't think you will see heaps of downside in near future. Question is - can you handle the shares going slightly under 40?
Clearly, the risk/reward is much better now than at 80 cents.
Similar sort of thing is happening to all mid tier exploration plays, see ALK & HER.
