Normal drills must use casing or the bore hole would collapse...each casing point is cemented into place then you test and continue with a smaller diamator casing pipe till u get to the 7inch production/testing casing...
U go to TD hoping to find the water contact so. U don't need to find it later on.
U find oil/gas and u smile
U find water and the bank rings u wanting there money before u go broke.
Then u plug/abandon say good bye or like the terminator u say
