Many small companies rely on sophisticated investors to help carry out their equity raisings. SI's will usually be registered with a number of different brokerage firms and often directly with the company as well.
I had previously contacted the company direct and had a conversation with them. As a SI you will often be required to 'bid firm' for the size of allocation that you want...and this will form part of their book build.
My firm bid for stock in T2 was done when there were sales happening at .5 and .6 cents, well before the recent run we have seen.
