For digger south to go into operation the "nickel planets" will have to align and the nickel price will have to be well over $10-11 a pound.
There was a "pipe dream" romour going around that a deal was done with the Chinese to buy the DS concentrate.....but the economics would be sucide at the current price.
Sounds like they have just about finished the dewatering pipe line for cosmic boy to DS that will also be used for SQ. A major issue i hear is that the de-watering of the pit is well behind thus impacting the inital ore production for SQ?
I wouldn't get to excited about the first SQ ore as there are going to be issues with the upper transition zone affecting Ni recoveries. Fun time for the met's ahead.
