If there were 10 analysts covering STX there would likely be a very large range in valuations. Say no more !
I would also say that if STX were trading at 50C they would likely have a 60c+ valuation. Its just how these things seem to work, even though it doesn't make any sense.
In my experience of equity analysts they are good as a sounding board to fine tune your own valuations, but most of them don't know the fine detail on each company they follow.
SE at half of WE valuation is one example. They also have $1/GJ on Ocean Hill with the SE valuation below that. They have a range of resource size from zero to 300 for OH, and yet only 75PJ for mid-case.
To me it has no relevance other than a cross-check against your modelling.
