What diameter core are we drilling here?
I imagine the total volume of soil per core is quite low and as such the probability of making any finds that really excite the uneducated end of the market (big diamonds) is pretty low.
If the core is only 0.3m diameter we're only looking at 3.5 cubic metres of soil for a 50m hole.
0.5 diameter would up this to around 10 cubic metres. Not a massive sample when compared to the bulk samples, but I guess 10+ holes and we've got a reasonable sample.
