Africa Oil may now be sitting on a stated sum of 4 Billion Barrels of oil in the Dharoor basin, our source tells us.
This must be a joke!!! everytime i read an articles from this newspaper and the person who writes about it, it comes true!!
but 4 billion is really a joke!
Our contact in Bari, northeastern Somalia tells us today that a depth of roughly 2,230 Meters has been reached at the Shabeel-1 well in the Dharoor valley basin, as passed along to him via Africa Oil employees at the site.
Africa Oil may now be sitting on a stated sum of 4 Billion Barrels of oil in the Dharoor basin, our source tells us. The employee additionally told our source that his firm was now ready to begin its move to the second Dharoor well, known as Shabeel-North.
Although our contact told us direct figures that can’t be verified until later, what can be said is that according to the last update by Range Resources, Horn Petroleum, and Red Emperor Resources, the next electrical logging run would be due at depths of roughly 2,400-2,700 Meters below the surface, and that the likelihood for further results adding to the recent hydrocarbon shows are very high.
His connections at the Shabeel-1 well cited optimism towards their goals in the current drilling process. They additionally said that the oil companies and their partners were eying major prospects out of the basin, and already looking to build infrastructure to carry the oil to Bosaso port for sale.
If it is in fact true that a depth of 2,230 Meters is where the drill is currently sitting, an official company update should not be far off.
