What you're looking at is not conected to the ocean floor, it's held in position by thrusters guided by a GPS. All equipment required to drill the well is on board. Unfortunately, the rig is not under contract in Ghana yet as they had some issues at Cormoran-1. So the rig has been repositioned for the second well offshore Mauritania and according to rigzone it's operated by PC Mauritania Pty Ltd. I don't think we'll see the rig at Kora until late March-April. No point rushing these things either.. unless you want a repeat of the gulf.
