- Weather – non-issue vs. dependent variable
- Ability to recycle – capture massive future market demand vs. no recycle
- Feed solution – suitable for brines with Li >20 ppm vs. higher conc req.

Key Developments
Tenova Bateman LiSX technology bench testing completed in Feb 2015 – results exceeded expectations with 100% Li extraction and very high purity LiCl (>99.9%). Tenova Bateman continues to conduct pre-feasibility level design work on the Clayton Valley Project.
Brine samples from the Clayton Valley Project have been shipped to POSCO’s research facility in Pohang Korea for process testing at the POSCO’s RIST pilot plant. POSCO’s technology has been successfully deployed in Argentina and produced over 20 tons of lithium phosphate from brine.
The work completed to date has demonstrated rapid removal of Mg, Ca and Sr, with effectively zero loss of lithium during this precipitation process.
