Well no one has started the "when do you reckon the drilling will be complete???" thread yet so here goes.
From the Optiro report (with all the drilling dates listed), it appeared that 14 holes for a total of 2254.59 meters were drilled over the course of 114 calender days.
34 of those days appear to be idle, leaving 80 active drilling days.
That means that these guys can average about 28 metres per day, all things going OK?
-------------------
They look to be using small trailer mount drills (see pics form announcements) so no biggie moving them around at only 8 km spacing.
RC drilling started 12/10/2011, and at the rate they were going on announcing (24/10/2011) that RC drilling was complete on the first nine holes, RC drilling should have been out of the way about the 20/11/2011?
This clears the way for the diamond core drilling.
If each RC hole took out the top 75m on average that's about 28 by 75 = 2100 metres of a 5000m drill program done.
-------------------
The remaining 2900metres is shared between at least two diamond rigs according to the 24/10/2011 annoucement.
Diamond drilling started on the 21/10/2011
Applying the 28metre per day rule (with 1450 metres per diamond rig - namely half of the remaining 2900m), that is about 52 calender days worth of drilling.
From the 21/10/2011, 52 calender days brings us to Monday 12/12/2011?????
Of course that is all going great guns - no breakdowns.
However we have had no hint of any slow down.
And it is interesting to note that the UK presentation said that there is one RC drill onsite - and now 3 diamond rigs now on site - not the just two that started. Not sure if this is a typo - but looks promising at least?
-------------------
The sooner the drill program is done the sooner the first release of shares to Triprop happens. The faster they drill, the higher the 30-day VWAP is (being closer to the big spike that happened at JORC release), so less dilution for NMR and us lot. So the incentive for speed to complete drilling is there.
We have been promised December and the first half of December - with no other conflicting announcement - so all should be on track?
Whether they announce initial results is another matter. This could take some time after drilling done.
And of course - this is exploration and a small spec company - so maybe we bummed out and did not find much - so do not spend what you can not lose may be wise??? (gotta keep it real ladies and gents)
--------------------
Any thoughts punters????
Please smash my reasoning - I gotta learn to!!!
Gotta go - gotta do some real work to pay for this racket!
Have fun this arvo

PS - have a look at the 24/10/2011 announcement. See if you can see which numbers are the most interesting there. Not sure if I am seeing things......
