Well that sort of assumes that we don't end up with a Labour government here in the UK, which is looking increasingly likely as the current administration is tearing itself apart as we speak.
The Scottish decision certainly makes life more difficult politically for those supporting fracking (and their number seems to be shrinking all the time). This does have a feeling of momentum now and I am struggling to see how the industry claws is way back from here. Apart from wishful thinking how do you see them doing this?
They really do seem to have lost the public argument - I was quite amazed to hear that 99% of the substantive responses to the Scottish consultation were against fracking. With other companies resorting to injunctions and threats to sue the government if they don't get their own way this is turning into a PR disaster isn't it?
