That's the same assessment I have atm @Beale
Things I'm thinking about, just keeping back of mind.
- Focus is likely on current reported timelines for the execution of the options, which will add more liquidity via possible cover to sells action. Though new financial year has started, so cover to sell could happen anytime over the next 12 months, and could drip feed into the live market.
- Resource assessment could be better OR worse than expected and they could be gathering more opinions in either case.
- Volume on the ASX isn't big atm, depending on results the stock could shoot up or down in an unsustainable way which isn't favorable for shareholders at large. We can see that with the swings in trades over the last 2 weeks, they don't make much economic sense imho. Blake is the kind of bloke that could get this up and running, helm it for a few years, dividend in mind, and then try and sell off to a much larger gold producer, if that's his plan, you want him to take his time with the long term assessments. If you are buying in today, you want to have a 3-5 year horizon, this isn't a 90 day trade.
- Gold appears to be in the middle of the lower consolidation band atm, and with the US just having approved the "big beautiful bill", and a new fed chair not that far out (who will have massive pressure to cut US rates), I find it very hard not to see how we won't see another spending spree by reverse banks on gold soon.
- Volatility is about to go back up imho. Ukraine v Russia it appears Russia is gaining territory again. Meanwhile the cease fire in the middle east doesn't look like it will last all that long term. Western media is setting up the stage that it would likely be political suicide for Netanyahu to back out of war, his military is giving him an out with statements about "strategic objectives met" but his own party isn't keen to stop. Tariff deadlines are ending again in a weeks time, who knows if that will be paused (yet again). I think we as gold investors have plenty of headwind atm.
