Not results so much as a VERY positive indicator of the results/assays to be released in 14 days or so.
110 metres of pentlandite/chalcopyrite/pyrrhotite (nickel sulfide/copper sulfide/iron sulfide) from just 13m below surface - that should have got the market buzzing.
The presence of pyrrhotite is VERY GOOD, especially considering they intersected a non-mineralised zone, then re-entered a new 69m thick mineralised zone from 257-326m.
Why?
Because pyrrhotite is associated with LAYERED deposits of nickel/copper.
Thus it confirms (my) geographic model of there being ANOTHER layer of nickel/copper just below the bottom of hole 009 (and hence probably below the other holes as well)
A quote from elsewhere:
"Pyrrhotite has no industrial uses, however it is mined because it is is associated with pentlandite, a sulfide mineral likely to host significant amounts of nickel and cobalt"
Mineralisation ended at 123m, then re-started at 257m, so about 130m between layers. The second layer ended at 326m. Hypothetically if the layers are spaced evenly there could well be another mineralised zone from 455m (54m below the end of the current hole, which they only drilled to 401m)
Before the assay results there will be the results of downhole electromagnetics (next week) which may confirm the likelihood of additional layers of nickel mineralisation below hole 009.
