so several people nearing retirement age with say 400,000 shares would be willing to trump up $480,000... say sell their family home ? or re-mortgage themselves ?

or a younger investor should sell other holdings and put all eggs in to SDL to get it off the ground ?

It doesn't work.

Individual investors own stock to make money, we need offtake / investment money from companies that can make more money out of mining.
