Yeah DJ, if only the crystal ball (or the charts) had been a bit clearer we all could have made a dollar.
In a down market week the announcement of the latest hair brained tax grab from KRUDD all resource stocks suffered but more so smaller ones that will be hardest hit as they are not yet in production or only starting to ramp up, ie longer time before returns to shareholders so less attractive right now.

I note Abbott says he is "hostile" towards the tax but wonder if this is similar to Labor saying when elected they would scrap the GST.

Also saw where a Chinese news paper is saying what a great idea this tax is and that the Chinese government should introduce the same on their domestic resources.
Is this a case of great minds think alike or fools seldom differ.

It is a very real risk we will slow or kill this mining
(expansion will go to the mining giants o/s area's) that pulled us through the GFC and ALSO lose tax dollars from the job losses in a sector that CURRENTLY employs directly or indirectly 500,000 people.
