How long does it take to get drill results usually? Bit of smoke and mirrors at play here with the timing of this aquisition I would say. Distract us with this rubbish while buying themselves time to mess about with drill samples and reported results. My money is on this deal falling through while mamagment load up or dump depending on their assesment of the samples.
Seems fishy to me but I'm cynical about most things so take that how you will.
