Apache have indicated that they dont need the rig after its current hole have been drilled and are happy to relinquish it
Note the extract below from Ann 31/8/2010 Advent have clearly been liasing with both the driller and current contract holder.
"MECs investee company Advent Energy Limited (Advent) has advised that it has today
transferred the funds for the semi submersible rig Ocean Patriot in accordance with the agreed
contract with Diamond Offshore (Australia) LLC and Apache Energy Ltd."
