SA Chamber of Mines and Energy acting chief executive Andrew Blue said the high value of mining exports was due to the high price of uranium and copper and strong demand.

"I can see it getting higher again because companies like Centrex Metals and Terramin will be going into production this year and Australian Zircon will be producing next year," Mr Blue said. "Prominent Hill starts production in 2008 and then three to five years out other companies will go into production."
