    Aircore is good for drilling through unconsolidated overburden or soft, typically deeply weathered, bedrock. The weathering profile on CAI ground is generally shallow/stripped, so rocks are hard at or near surface. Because of this you really need a percussion rig to test your ideas in most areas.
