The Chinese took a massive stake in MLX despite all it's shares, it's hstory and lengthy timelines for nickle production .

It is entirely possible that a strategic stake will be made in FDL sometime also . Lets face it if someone wanted to charge you over $100 per tonne for iron ore, and you see the potential to buy 350 million tonnes for less than $100 million why would you discount the possibility ?

If I had the money and inclination I would seek to own the ore inground rather than pay an exhorbitant premium for someone else to mine it for me .
