Roc Oil drills 2nd sidetrack well at Wei discovery offshore China
LONDON (AFX) - Roc Oil Company Ltd said it has begun drilling a second sidetrack well at its Wei-6-12S-1 oil discovery, offshore China.
This second sidetrack is a 'relatively aggressive step-out to the southwest of the original discovery well,' Roc said, adding it is designed to intersect a number of the reservoir intervals downdip from the original discovery well.
Roc said the detailed outcome of the drilling will not be known until next week.
