When I was in Santiago walked past the trial of Pinochet on a morning stroll, bit rowdy.. in Buenos Aires we used to walk along with the street marches with a cheap Gato Negro cask, listening to the drums they love to play. Sometimes upto a million people would march for different things. Warm nights we would sit in the roundabouts with park benches and have a mate or vino, usually joined by a few you locals late evening with a guitar and enjoy the serenity that is fleeting in such a large city. Mendoza, Barriloche, Valparaiso, BA, Volcanos, deserts, Cloud Forrest, the Andes, oasis in dune buggies. Paragliding in Lima at night. Take me back.
