I do believe that a number of things have let Australia down...

I do believe that a number of things have let Australia down badly.

1. Multiculturalism supported by one of the most generous social security systems around. This has slowed and in some cases stopped the integration of minorities into mainstream Australia.

2. a legal system that continually makes inroads into the rights of existing communities and puts the individual ahead of those communities

3. Commonwealth funding of an education system that encourages schisms in our society by isolating children on the basis of race, religion or wealth.

4. A nanny state mentality (which is driven by lawyers) that will not accept that there are risks in life.

5. the rise of the lobbyist industry and the ability of a few to buy the many.
