They need some type of credible proof for it to stand up in court-they can't guess your speed!
Years ago I was hammering my XR 600(motorbike) through the streets of Kalgoorlie-A policeman in a panel van gave chase without me knowing and he ended up getting my attention where I stopped.
The coppers thought I was giving them a chase because within a minute there was 4 types of diiferent police vehicles around me.
Anyway he said there was no doubt I was speeding but couldn't do anything about it because there was no radar gun on me.
You might want to try and get them on a technicality.Ask for-
A calibration ticket for that particular unit on the day and certificate of compentency in regards to the officer being trained for using a radar.
If they can't produce either,then the ticket is void.
