Well it looks like the nz broker has reversed my tax payments and decided that the drm share distribution is not taxable so I don't have to pay withholding tax.
to be clear I am not talking about CGT. We don't have that in NZ.
in actuality my distribution wasn't very many shares so I was hassling about only $500. Mind you that's a few beers --- not as many as it used to be of course
