Not just this stock is manipulated during open/close auctions, all other stocks too, for example, 88E is one that is very obvious. They are running automated high speed trading computer programs, during close auction, dynamically monitoring the volumes from the true buyers and sellers, then in the last 15 seconds, the computer programs will adjust their buying volumes accordingly and make sure the total buying volumes are a few shares less then the selling volumes, in this way, they can buy shares at a small discounted price.
The next morning, the same trading programs will do something similar, as long as there is a higher price it will sell immediately those shares bought the day before and eventuate some small profits. When they run this high speed programs on most stocks every day, they can accumulate some larger profits.
