"the writing is on the wall" – lol... I'm not sure that's the metaphor you wanted, unless you're trying to say that the company is doomed. In the story your phrase relates to, the Jewish God appeared at a feast being held by Belshazzar as a cloud with a hand that wrote words on the wall. Everybody could read the words but nobody knew what they meant until they located a Jewish prophet named Daniel. He explained the words as meaning "you have been weighed and found insufficient". King Belshazzar died that same night.
So now when people say "the writing is on the wall", they (generally) mean to warn of a terrible and unavoidable fate.
