That's why the price is only 'indicative'. As the two extremes balance out the middle ground is quickly found on market open.
Bots only have so much power though. If someone tells their broker to pull the plug at any cost, on market selling in a bear market can be costly. An asset is only as worth as much as someone else is brave enough to pay for it, after all.
