Funds invest many millions into teams to then identify how other funds do this, because if everyone tries the ripples start to overlap and you have a difficult to interpret data set, impossible to model. So it is easier to decipher what other find are doing and piggy back off their strategy or amplify their strategy.

Private Equity types only care to the extent they need to find buyers for the Company, so again they don’t care about HC or reddit or FB. What they do is make presentations and try to maximise value for themselves like a real estate agent pumping property prices with flashy signs.
Even a junior analyst couldn’t give a flying F about 5 people talking on HC which for DRO is literally just like 6 of us talking, no one cares at all.
