So i'd not be surprised if we see shorts have covered this week. That news out of Ukraine/Russia would have given them pause. As for comparing shorts in July, keep in mind our shorts increased not at the peak of the price, but when added to the ASX300. This is because that change ensured those who wanted to short, had a clear market to reach out to (Index Fund Managers who track the ASX300).
So i'd not be surprised if we see shorts have covered this week....
