Imo, there are two plausible reasons why DroneShield hasn’t announced these deals, even if they combined them.
Land 156 hasn’t been formally announced. The evaluation process might still be ongoing. These two $4.9M contracts are buried in Tenders.gov.au. Most holders I know had no idea they were even awarded. You have to know where to look to find the deals.
No PO, no announcement. DroneShield likely can’t release anything to the market without a purchase order. If the first PO came in May and the second in June, they couldn’t combine them into a single $10M announcement. A verbal commitment from a customer wouldn’t be enough of a reason to make a on market release, let alone close the deal in one’s internal CRM lol.
What I find interesting is that both deals sit just under the $5M threshold and are tied to Land 156. Coincidence? Maybe.
