I see all good observations, and I would add an analogy that buying DRO at these levels could be a similar experience to those who bought NVDA in early 2021 or even Bitcoin in early 2010s. I am not saying that it will multiply by the same magnitudes, even though nobody knows what will be the ultimate valuation in this sector. What I think to myself — and I would be happy to read counter arguments — is that the Droneshield company is an investment thesis that you like to be part of it: high quality in terms of fundamentals, and very bounded downside risk — it would not be good if it goes back to 1.20, but what if goes straight to 10 in coming months/quarters (as several/most defense stocks across the world multiplied by 3-5x in the past 12-24 months)?
It is true that it is up 200% from the February lows, or 1200% in the past five years, but one must take into account that we’re in a different environment that we were last year: that time it was much hope in a good company in a promising sector; now it is all about a growing leader company in a novel but definitely booming sector.
I think one can read all those value investing or decision-making manuals that are so hyped nowdays, and to still let this opportunity pass. Not because of the knowledge acquired through those, but because to know the information and to act on it are two different attitudes.
In my opinion, this is definitely a winner proposition, if you are able to stand the eventual drawdowns and sit tight on it.
