Regional deal- Here's my take on this: highly unlikely.
Why? Because the product has not completed human clinical trials. Few if any regional partners would be willing to market the drug without completing human trials. Yet, if the prospect of a global market could not justify the expense of the clinical trials, how will a regional deal manage to do so?
If there is to be no regional deal, then what is left of AVX?
And where is it that Drona or someone else would take the company?
The chance of frittering away the residual cash is very great.
The Calzada management has proven itself capable of preserving capital bvery well. AVX could do a LOT worse than getting tied up with Calzada.
