Interesting.
Aveillant's drone detection product does not seem in any way superior to Droneshield's equivalent. If anything, the opposite.
But not that surprising Thales would go with a company they own, rather than one they just have an agreement with.
Aveillant looks like they have just the one counterdrone product (detection only).
And it seems Gatwick's system doesn't have drone DISABLING capability as yet.
So maybe THAT will be Droneshield's contribution to the Thales agreement, if and when it's feasible and required.
