Not sure if this was already posted, but China has recently showed a new recon/surveillance drone that looks very much like a bird. That I think points out the importance of the detect component which is often overlooked in favour of defeat. A drone gun is useless if you don't know there is a drone to begin with.

I am very happy to see that Droneshield is concentrating on detect now and I would guess that is where a substantial part of the newly raised R&D catital will be used. Detect can be that long term IP moat that will differentiate Droneshield from its competitors. The defeat part gets more and more commoditised since it is a hardware based on pure physics (RF, optics, etc.) the detect part is where the software and the "brains" are, including those sweet subscription money.

The defeat is still very important of course and DRO is still a market leader, but I like that Oleg and co understand the market and tech very well.
