I don’t recall receiving such an email, but as I’m on the shareholder mailing list I may have received it anyway. I do recall seeing a Hotcopper ad, but as has been pointed out, promoting the company from a sharemarket perspective is intrinsically bound up with the overall image of the company, including with its customers. No greater marketing slogan failure IMO than the one that say’s “build the world’s best mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door”. Not if you don’t tell people. It’s the same reason we eat billions of chicken eggs and only thousands of duck eggs despite the latter being more nutritious. The hen likes to tell the world…
