This was not good news for DRO and exposes serious limitations in their technology and highlights the strength of competing technologies. The drones were shot down from a long way out, and well before DRO technology would be able to disrupt them, making competing products far less risky. It also destroyed them rather than forced a landing, something that DRO technology also does not do.

As it stands DRO is good for short range drones, but these long distance, very high speed drones seem to be out of its league, as once they get close enough to be disrupted their momentum is likely to bring them very near to their target anyway. As it stands DRO products look vulnerable without support from other technologies in more sophisticated attacks. Are they going to be nimble enough to respond?
