Actually Chinese companies have been the biggest producers of cheap consumer drones for many years. Funny thing is that Ukraine is producing knock off of the Chinese drones domestically to supply its military.
Making a consumer drone is akin to building a ham radio or a HeathKit device in the last century. So easy even a kid can do it, and they do.
